• Montpellier is a medieval town, that has experienced a strong development over the last 50 years, with population doubling since 1960 up to over 288.000.This is because it is a pleaseant place to live (and visit)!

• Its university grew around the Faculty of Medicine which was officially established in 1220.

• In the surroundings of Montpellier you can visit the unique ecosystems of wetlands along the Mediterranean sea and close to Camargue natural parc, as well as, heading North, rocky hills and chestnut hills suited for hicking.

Notice that a large event is taking place in town on the same week. We advice participants to book their accommodation as soon as possible.
