News Welcome to the 10th FAERE Annual Conference It is our pleasure to held the 10th annual conference of the French Association of Environment and Resources Economists - (FAERE 2023) on September 7 and 8 2023 in Montpellier. The conference is organized by the Center for Environmental Economics - Montpellier (CEE-M) at the University of Montpellier, within the Institut de Botanique and the Saint-Charles buildings. The event is organized with the support of EAERE. The aim of the FAERE annual conferences is to favor and support both the production and diffusion of researches in environmental economics at national and international levels. All theoretical as well as empirical articles in the field of biodiversity, fisheries, agriculture, forest management, water management, energy, climate, pollution, health, sustainable development or bio-economics (non-exhaustive list) are welcome. KEYNOTES Kelsey Jack is Associate Professor at the Bren School of Environmental Science and Management of the University of California in Santa Barbara. Prof. Jack holds a PhD from Harvard University since 2010. She works at the intersection of environmental and development economics, with a focus on how individuals, households, and communities decide to use natural resources and provide public goods. Much of her research uses field experiments to test theory and new policy innovations. Andreas Lange is Professor of Economics at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences of the University of Hamburg. Prof. Lange holds a PhD from the University of Heidelberg since 2000. His work combines theoretical and experimental approaches to a variety of issues in public and environmental economics, as well as behavioral economics, among which: climate policy, international environmental agreements, emissions trading systems, policy decisions under risk and uncertainty, and voluntary provision of public goods. (in French) Annals of Economics and Statistics special issue Speakers are invited to submit the article they present, or one closely related to their presentation, to Annals of Economics and Statistics for the special issue for the 10th FAERE conference. Submissions are expected by October 15, 2023. Authors should submit using the journal's portal specifying in the cover letter that the paper is submitted to the special issue for the 10th FAERE annual conference. Submitted papers will be selected on usual double blind referee process of the journal. The editorial process is organized to publish the issue during fall 2024. FAERE young economist best article award During the general assembly at the 10th annual conference, the winner of the FAERE young economist award for best article prensented at the FAERE annual conference by a young economist will be announced. Please visit the website of the FAERE at https://faere.fr/en/faere-young-economist-award-settlement/ to read the settlement of FAERE young economist award. To facilitate the identification of the pool of candidates, please fill in the form upon submission indicating the time since their PhD defense for each author. Notice that the selection process of submissions is independent of the eligibility to the award. Proposal, Guidelines and Rules You are invited to submit theoretical and empirical papers in all areas of environmental and resource economics for presentation. Full papers (or work in progress of full papers, etc.) should be submitted through the submission website. The deadline for paper submissions is April 19, 2023 (initially set April 16). Notification of the outcome of the review process is scheduled for May 31, 2023. The number of submissions per person is unlimited, but the maximum number of presentations in the parallel sessions per person will be limited to one. Authors must be registered for the conference by June 18, 2023 in order for their paper to be included in the programme.
